Setting Up Your Trezor Device

1. Unbox and Connect

Begin by unboxing your Trezor device and connecting it to your computer using the included USB cable. Make sure your device is powered on; a welcome screen should appear.

2. Visit the Setup Page

Open your web browser and navigate to trezor.io/start. This page will guide you through the setup process. Click on "Install Trezor Bridge" if prompted. Trezor Bridge is essential for the device to communicate with your browser.

3. Install Trezor Suite

Next, you'll need to download and install the Trezor Suite application, which is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

4. Initialize Your Device

Open Trezor Suite and follow the instructions to initialize your Trezor device. You’ll be asked to choose between setting up a new wallet or recovering an existing one. Select "Create a new wallet" to proceed.

5. Set Up Your PIN

You’ll be prompted to create a PIN. This PIN will secure access to your Trezor device. Enter a PIN of your choice, and confirm it by entering it again.

6. Backup Your Recovery Seed

The next step is to back up your recovery seed. This is a crucial step as it allows you to recover your wallet if your device is lost or damaged. Write down the 12-24 word recovery seed on the provided card, and store it in a safe place. Do not store it digitally or share it with anyone.

7. Confirm and Finish

After backing up your recovery seed, confirm it on your Trezor device by entering the words in the correct order. Once confirmed, your Trezor device is set up and ready for use.
